Sub/Amp wiring question

yeah.. thats not good for the amp. Do not do that.

If its only rated to 4 ohms bridged.. do you think that running it is 2 ohms bridged is a good idea?

Think about that and get back to us.

If the amp is powerful enuff you could series the coils and have an 8ohm load which the amp would absolutely love.

When I say powerful enough I mean will it have enough power at 8ohms

For example lets take a pretend amp rated at 50 x2 at 4ohms and 100x2 at 2ohms.

100watts x2 at 2ohms will put out 200watts x1 at 4ohms bridged.

50watts x2 at 4ohms will put out 100watts x1 at 8ohms.

Due to inefficiencys, some amps will not put out the sum of their 2 channel mode so just use that for an idea on how it works.
