Well, I'm new to car audio business, so I was wanting to get into it a little but I found out quickly its more complicated that I anticipated at first. Anyway, I was planning on running just one Sundown E-series 15 inch DVC 2-ohm sub (400 watts RMS) linked with a Kenwood KAC-5001PS 1000W Mono D amp (300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms) (500 watts x 1 at 2 ohms). The amp is suppose to arrive today and the sub tomorrow, but I was doing a little more research in the wiring department of this whole ordeal and I found out about load impedance's... ha! I don't think as a newbie in this trade, I ever got the heads up on this stuff and I am decently angry due to the fact that I could only find these wiring details out with in-depth research! The least the manufactures could do when selling their products is warn the people who are attempting to learn and don't know about everything in the business about the different wiring diagrams per sub and how it has to do with what sub/amp setup you have and how you have to set the different ohm/impedance loads. So anyway, with this sub and amp match do I need to return the sub and get a DVC 4-ohm subwoofer so I can match it to the 500 watts x 1 at 2 ohms via parallel wiring? A quick answer would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks to all!
