My sub amp keeps going into protect. i have 4 gauge power wire coming from my battery which i have split through a distribution block. I have 8 gauge power wire coming from the distribution block going to my Alpine MRP-f450 which powers my 4 speakers. This amp does not turn off. The other 8 gauge power wire coming from the distribution block goes to my 2 channel dual amp(i know) which i have bridged to run my sub. The sub sounds really quite and when i turn the volume up on the head unit, the amp goes into protect.
Today i bought a new amp thinking mabey it was a problem with the s*** amp i am running. I got an Alpine MRP-M350. I have the same problem with this amp. I am thinking that it is not an amp problem. Could it be my Alternator?? It is a 90 amp alt.
Could it be that the sub amp is not recieving enough voltage? Wouldn't the Mrp-F450 shut off too if that was the case.
would the amps act this way if the sub was blown. the sub can handle the wattage being put out by the amps.
Thanks
