I plan on hooking up 2 pairs of speakers (front and rear) to 2 channels of an amplifier.
Front left + rear left = left channel
Front right + rear right = right channel
Now... How could I get some sort of volume control / fader between the front and rear speakers if they are on the same channel?
Could I stick some sort of volume knob between the amplifier and speakers in order to turn down one pair of speakers?
The reason is that the rear pair of speakers will be more sensitive than the front speakers (90dB vs 86dB), and therefore louder if I pump the same power through them - and I would like some control over the sound.
Should I forget about the left/right channel and just connect the front pair to one channel and the rear to the other? What would you do in this case?
