ok here's the deal i want to get one of these 3 subs but i dont know which one is better. 12' or 15's Audiobahn IMMORTAL 12's or 15's, Audiobahn ETERNAL 12's or 15's, or Power Acoustic Mofo Series 12's or 15's. im wanting to be one of the loudest around my area that someone hit was like a 158.6DB i wanna hit harder than that i need to hit 160.0 or louder and i also need help finding an amp. now i did find an AUDIOBAHN AMP dont know the series or anything but its a huge amp it was 4500watts MAX i think!! so if someone could please point me in the right direction yalls advice would be greatly appreaciated!!

With the greatest of respect ot you

A) You're about to get bashed for being an inconsiderate music blasting punk that causes all of us to have problems with the law

B) From the way you talk you know littel about car audio, You're not going to hit a 160 with a daily setup more than likely, and you probably wouldnt have the cash to do it if it were possible, you're takling thousands of dollars.

C) AudioBahn and Power Acoustik are two brands that are commonly hated here, that's going to get bashed too.

Look around the forums and do some reading up on what subs are better than others and what amps are better than others, take the time to look around before asking something to this extent, because to be quite honest, to me, it shows ignorance on your part. " I wanna go boom really really loud " ... well, you're goin to have to sell your system then, because you wont be able to afford the tickets. Hope you had fun reading this, and you could have 4 audiobahn eternal 15's ported and you still wouldnt be over a 145 probably

Once again, have fun

Ryan

I am ordering two SX18s from the group buy, ordering another Merlin D2 from flakko in janurary. Upgraded electrical to 00 ga, will get tons of deadener for christmas and I hope to hit 150.

good luck with the audiochrome

woah dude chill out.. we dont have a noise ordinace out here!! so chill out!! and im taking it down to 1 ohm or .5 ohms and i have a little over $1500.00 to spend and dont tell me i cant afford it either b/c you dont know me or what i do for a living!! dude im in the MARINE CORPS!! like i asked before some guidince would be nice!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif well i could just spend 2 grand a sub and cerwin vega stroker pro's!! and 18's are so OVERRATED!! i saw 1 12inch kicker square kind ya know out hit an 18!! so that says alot!! but goodluck with your set up also!! why is audiobahn and power acoustic so hated? and your wrong about audiobahns dude i had 2 10 inch cerwin vega's in a ported box and i hit 152.3db's so you dont know what your talking about!! HAVE A NICE DAY!!

I believe that audiobahn tends to focus more of their efforts on show, rather than go (so to speak) I haven't tested every amp is every situation. There is one fellow who hit in the mid 140s with some good audiobahn gear (although I belive that was on the AC).

The dollars you spend doesn't mean too much. I mean spkrman has hit mid 150s with a $150 sub (see/search for tcab, type r, etc).

It is very difficult just to hook up a 4500 watt amp. Have you upgrade electrical, alternator, etc? Most members just don't take too kindly to people talking about hitting 160 in their first post.

yes i uped the alternator b/c it wasnt producing enough power to my old system plus i race also!! 155 to 160 is what i wanna hit. plus if your interested in joining a car forum this is the one me and friend made its http://www.xtccars.cjb.net its for people who race and have show cars we need more members. but anyways back to my topic should i run 2 or 4 gauge wires with the new system?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif still need sub/amp advice what would some of yall recommend?

What kinda car do you drive? I've never used Audiobahn or Power Acoustic subs, so I can't give a honest opinion on them (haven't even had a friend use them). But are you open to suggestions on other brands? If not I would just suggest pick which one you think would work best for you. I would wait to buy the wiring after purchasing the amps. One thing that might get you closer is alot of sound-dampening.

you have 1500 dollars and you're gonna buy audiobahns?

PLEASE do yourself a favor, do some research, ask around, be patient and wait for a good deal on something better. there is waayyy better equiptment out there you can buy with that money, i'd hate to see it all go to waste on some chromed out pieces of shit.

Since you're gonna be putting them in the jeep I'd go with a couple of 15s in ported boxes. I personally like Rockford Fosgate's older-line of subs and amps, but you can't get them new. Some people have had success with the new Alpine Type-Rs,RE XXXs, and many others. So just search around and go from there.
