i am haveing problems with my hk4000d cutting out on me when i turn the volume up. i have an kicker sx900.4 on the highs. and it never shuts down. it has a 80amp fused 4ga power wire, a remote that is taped into the factory sub amp remote (factory sub amp disconnected). i have an hk4000d on the subs and it is ground with 0ga wire to the batts. it has a 300amp fused power wire 0ga from the batts. the amp cutts out even when the volts read 13.4 or higher. and it seems to need to worm up before i can turn up the volume. the longer i play at an volume that does'nt make the sub amp cut out the higher i can turn up the volume. this problem corolates with the cold wheather. if it is a worm day it may not cut out at all. cool days it cuts out a little then seems to worm up after a few songs. but on a cold day it seems to never be able to be turned up. the only difference i see in the amps is that the sub amp is grounded to the batts. (let me know if thats ok or not). and let know if you think you know the problem.
