Sub/Amp cut off wiring is fine

i have 1 12" l7 wired to my p1000bd I used to have two l7's but one went out so now i just got one til the other one gets fixed. Well ive had this setup for about 2 months now and last night i put in a switch b/w my remote wire so i could shut off my amp without having the deck off. this is the problem everytime the bass hits hard the subs go out then turn back on about 1-2 seconds later like it was in thermal/protect mode.
