why would he want an outdated bike? They are neat, but thats about it. A great starter bike would be a ***** bike, cheaper to fix if you drop it. No plastics to fix.

That was my original thought, im just having a hard time going about looking into that. i've got a few things to look out for at least while browsing but thats about it

Yeah I forgot to mention, if this is your first bike DO NOT buy one that's in pristine condition. It will just make it that much worse when you drop it the first time.

if its in my price range (super low) i would pick up one in such condition but there is def no way im going out of my way to find one 100% cosmetic. i just need reliability and high gas milage. style and speed are secondary concerns.

but ya, it'll be strictly a means for transportation. with the money i save on gas, i'll fix up the car and make it total pleasure to drive for occasions as well as during the winter; stereowise, functionality and appearance. again, performance not really a priority.

lol, that reminds me. There's this dumbass on my motorcycle forum that mounted a bunch of speakers to his bike (Ninja 500). He had two smaller ones he put in the gauge cluster facing him (good idea) but then he had two larger speakers that he mounted under the gas tank facing outward....
