Strain on electrical vs system impedance.

well i can say that taking amplifier efficiency out of the equation that 2500w at 2ohm and 2500w at 1ohm will draw the same amperage from the voltage supply
exactly, but as a general rule the amplifier running at a lower load impedance will be less efficient, as there are higher currents involved at the output stage, and higher currents cause more heat when compared to lower currents. It is completely possible though for the amp running at a higher load impedance to be less efficient though, it's all amp dependant, it's just less likely.

finally someone sees what i mean. i hate the general consensus that running higher impedance automatically equal high efficiencies

I hope its a Commodore and not a Gemini or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
it's an astra, can't get one older than this, it was made in the month and year that they started production.

yeah man I'm a student, so any money I get goes into fuel/car maintenance and my sound system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Once I graduate I'll be in a supra, money won't be much of an issue then.

Same here bro, know how it feels. And funnily enough, yeah Supra or r32 coupe with a 25det would likely be my first purchase once I get this engineering degree haha. Gotta love the fact that our countries get sweet JDM rides cheap.

lol funny enough I'm an electrical engineering student //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I agree prices here on imports are pretty good. Doing what I can with what I have atm.
