if your going to spend the money on a big batt... get a big batt... check the classifieds for the sprinter and C&D batts... d3100 and HC3800 equivalents for a fraction of the cost

true, i just assumed you were trying to power something that needed power, its still cheap insurance to get one of the big batts

I dunno about an auxiliary battery, but I've been using a yellow top in my Si as the starting batt and for my stereo and it's doing just fine without the slightest dimming. Then again, I'm only pushing ~700W total, which is what some of you guys put on half a voice coil.
