Stinger SPP1200 battery

I am going to be running an Autotek MM4000.1 amp (4000watts). I have been researching batteries and I am wondering if the Stinger SPP1200 would be a good choice? I believe I would need two of these. A local shop has this one priced similar to the Kinetik2000 but they say the stinger is better and has the better warranty. After looking though it seems the spp1200 is a smaller SIZE battery and that would concern me that it is not going to be powerful. The SPP states it is rated at 2400 watts from the specs I read and the Kinetik is 2100 so from that I would think the Stinger would be just as close to the Kinetik if not a little more powerful. Any thoughts on this? I know many will say Kinetik is better but my concern is if the Stinger SPP1200 model is going to be strong enough when running two of them to power just under 4000 watts.

Thanks,

Dale

If your alt is not big enough to power the system having small capacity batteries is not a good thing. Batteries recharge slower than they can discharge and a large 200 amp draw on a 44 AH battery means a larger percentage of the batteries power is used compared to a 100 AH battery so the smaller battery will need to recharge sooner, the upside to this is they can bulk charge faster if you do not run them down too low. If you leave them in a low charge state too long they can sulfate and damage the cells. Talk to many users of many types and brands of batteries everyday.
