:uhoh:anyone?I generally use washer/nut/washer/terminal with 4ga wire/washer/nut sandwiched then to platnumn dist block.Thinking that the Ground foot would look nicer,if exposed, and less time to put in.But would it be a better ground than what I have been doing/using for so long? And has anyone used/experienced them?
If you're competing in IASCA where every screw turned a quarter-turn over is a deduction in install points, I can see the use.
Otherwise, I don't see the advantage over good stainless steel hardware.
Careful with them. They can corrode just like anything else especially if used on the outside of the car. I always use something like dielectric grease or some sort of sealant.
I had a cheap no-name version corrode on the INSIDE of my car (well, a previous car, anyway). Not so bad as to stop working, but I noticed it after a couple of years when I was doing some additional work on that particular car.
Always go over a ground exposed to the elements with a sealer. Even something as simple as undercoating can do the trick. And yes, dielectric grease is always a good idea to use.
