I have:

1- jl10w3 -d4 dvc 4ohms

1- 2 ch amp 75x2 @4ohms

150x2 @ 2ohms

300x1 @ 4ohms

now i know i can wire the sub to 2 ohms or 8ohms, both of which arent ideal. what should i do? i thought i read another post where someone said to wire each coil to each channel, but wouldnt that give me 75x2 @ 4ohms for 150watts? isnt that the same as wiring the sub to 8ohms?

or should i try to find a d2? ack. im a noob. any help would be appreciated.

You can wire each channel to 1 VC, but you need to use a Y-splitter and only use 1 RCA (the left channel if it matters)or find another sub or another amp(better option).

Edit: that would result in the same power as if you just used 1 channel at 2ohms though.

150 x 2 @ 2
is the same as

300 x 1 @ 4

the only difference is at 4 most amps run cooler and put out less distortion

He only has one speaker. Only capable of wiring it at 2 or 8ohms.

Best and pretty much only option, hook it up to one channel @ 2ohms and get 150 watts...

FYI - 150watts @ 2ohms^^^^
Thats per channel though. Bridging amp channels presents a lower ohmload to the amp. That is why you get the full power(300x1 at 4om) of the 150x2 at 2ohm when you bridge the channels for a 4ohm load(the amp sees 2 ohm).

No shit. BUT HE ONLY HAS ONE SPEAKER CAPABLE OF ONLY 2 OR 8 OHMS!!!!

One channel @ 2ohms only ideal option people.

Sorry, I thought that is what I said.
