Stiff subs or unrealistic expectations?

lol blown sub for sure LPF should be set to about 80HZ

Do you think both would be blown?

would it blow them with only maybe an hour of play time? This system is brand new. I'll go check with a dmm in a second, should i disconnect all the wiring to the coils?

Just tested them. Blown coils, this is just so ironic. I put so much time, effort and money into a ******* SOUND system, just to have my alt and battery go bad, then my subs fry because of a stupid mistake. I even knew better. I can't believe this.

****. I didn't know much at first and still don't. But before even ran my system I double checked everything and everything I had questions about I asked. Youshould have definitely not played it if iit wasn't tuned correctly first. I know it's hard to wait to listen. Buts it's worth it when it works and sounds right.

Nevermind, I had the dmm set to read 2k ohms. Time to wire everything back up CORRECTLY, but do you have any idea what the metallic noise could've been?

have you check the phasing ?? almost sounds like the subs are out of phase check and make sure there wired right + to + - to - or just hook one up see how that sounds then hook the other sub up

Just make sure all the +'s are together and all the -'s are together? Will do in the morning. Also whats a good setting for my subsonic filter?

subsonic filter is depended on box subs and music.... from the readings in here id say around 25-30 sadly lol.

Take this to a professional in the area. Go to the regional portion of this site or ask around in your area. I'm sorry but you do not know what you're talking about. Find a local meet or bass head if possible and ask if they can help for a little reimbursement I'm sure someone would be glad to check things out for you. Research the Low pass filter, high pass filter, subsonic, enclosures, wiring diagrams, phase of subs, AND what they do and how to set them. I can't even begin to tell you how much you will learn just researching things you aren't positive about.

You need to be sure you know things are 120% correct. Go ask a professional what's wrong with your system and question what he tells you don't just accept it (Please don't go to bestbuy or sound advice, look at reviews on google or from other bass heads in the area). Have him explain it, don't be afraid to pick his brain. That's all I can do to help you. Help us help you. Remember, research. This site is a million page encyclopedia for car audio. Use it first, then us.

What ohm coils are these supposed to be and what are you supposed to be wired at total?

dam I feel for you man, always triple check things befor you turn it on, also if your not sure, don't risk it
