Damn man, sucks to have a busted arm when the bottom half is messed up two, not too convenient.

Hopefully the healing don't take too long, no idea how a busted hip goes. Good to hear you'll have time to get back after the van though.

ok here this is reconing 101 with steve (I am not a pro at this so if you have anything to add feel free)

ok I had the clean my baskets from the old woofers so start out by cutting the cone and coil out then you need to cover the the gap with tape.then i used a grinder with a cutoff wheel to clean off all the glue.BEWARE doing this will make some nasty smoke and it WILL BURN your eyes so I used a small fan right by me when i did this helped alot. ok now that you've got all the basket cleaned up blow it off with some compressed air.then take the tape off and blow it out with compressed air.take a good look in the gap to make sure there is nothing in the gap before you start.now if there is stuff in there i like to use a shim with double sided tape on it and just slide it around in the gap to pick up all the crap. oh and my shims are just the run of the mill file folder.you can use several different things to do this they just need to be on the thick side.because if you use paper it will take forever //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

so my parts came in on wed

DSC02835.jpg

i started out glueing my double spider pack together started the center then the outside

DSC02838.jpg

I use the nice paper clips you can get from almost anywhere the help out

DSC02839.jpg

so now i have my double spiders all glued together

DSC02841.jpg

well before i glued my spider's togther I made sure my spider's were lined up on the coil just high enough so half the coil was in the gap. then that brings me to gluing the spider's in the right place.i made a jig from a peice of pvc so the coil and spider would be lined up perfect sorry no pic of it

DSC02842.jpg

here is a pic of the bottom

DSC02843.jpg

so now i have my coils done and ready for some solder

DSC02844.jpg

I wrapped the coil winding around my shortened tinsel lead and soldered then I pushed them againest the coil and glued them down

DSC02845.jpg

ok i forgot the pic of me shimming the coil so i will get a pic of the last sub tommorow.but when shimming the coil make sure you make it to where the coil will barely move and put them in evenly around the coil.you can also see the string i used around the coil to give everything more surface area

DSC02849.jpg

now i glue the string in with a good amount of glue

DSC02850.jpg

now i use my paper clips to hold up the surround so i can run a good amount of glue around the woofer basket.once done i pull the paper clips and use them the hold the surround done so it will be nice and tight.

DSC02847.jpg

so now that everything but the dust cap is glued in place It's time for the dust cap.BUT FIRST DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE OUT THE SHIMS. you can als give the cone a shove or two and make sure there are no problems. so I used a tape mesure to center up my dust cap and glued it by hand for best looking glue

DO NOT USE ACCLERATOR ON THE DUST CAP just let it dry with some weight on it.

DSC02848.jpg

ok so now you are almost done dont forget to zip tie your leads to the basket.

I'm sure there is a couple things i forgot i will update my post as i remeber.

ok update on the last woofer i shimmed my coil then droped on the cone i glued in my string on top then i pull out the whole thing and glued a string around the bottom of the coil where the cone meets.i made sure that i put it back in the motor the same way I pulled it out.then re shimmed the coil, then glued the spider down, then glued the cone down.worked perfect. because I did not do this to the other 3

(bottom string) i sat on the floor and glued the string in while it was in the basket took longer but will add the strength since i did not have a triple joint.

thanx for looking:D
