Stetsom 2250, 2ohm mono stable?

I know it isn't rated for this ohm load so please don't say that, I am wondering if anyone thinks this amp can handle the 2ohm mono load. I've read nothing but good things about their amps and I was thinking of buying the pair for sale in the classifieds but only if the 2250 can do 2ohm mono.

I only ask as I know the other amps they make have some serious low ohm load abilities. I'd probably keep the gain almost at 0 with 2ohm mono given the power that the amp would put out.

Here is the facts about running any amp below rated impedance.

-They will run warmer/hot so depending on how low your impedance rise is and if you run them at full tilt all the time heat may be an issue.

-Puts a little more stress on the amp if heat up to much.

Now depending on the amp it may be fine and stay cool. As for the Stetsom 2250 I've never tested it below rated impedance.

I'd say if you want to try it put some spacers between where you plan on mounting it to keep air flow good and keep it in a good ventilated area.
