more output, yes, but only on the mic and by very little if any depending on install. Sq from what i've head not even close the Mag hands down, but to each their own i guess. i have two Mags and wouldn't trade them for a q if you paid me. Theres a reason the Mag cost as much as they do. IMHO Mags are better built subs than the q's and ssd's and the Mags use some custom tooled parts.
edit: do a search, theres maybe one guy who had both subs that prefered the q's. Most guys who had both say the Mags sound better hands down and they couldn't hear a difference in spl. All i know is that in a great install with over 2500 watts two Mag 12's hit over 150db, to me thats plenty loud enough for daily unless you plan on competing, than i wouldn't choose a mag,q or ssd for that application.

Wrong, I personally tested the mags v q's and the q's were all of .1 db louder ( which is negligible at best ) The mags sounded 10x better than the q's...
I hate it when ppl act like they know what there talking about when they dont.

No offense, but you dont give me the impression you know any more than your experience with one of the drivers (mag). From 'what youve heard' the mag has better SQ. 'Custom tooling' sounds good, but there are alot of subs out there with 'custom tooled' parts on them that cost less. Im not saying the Mag is overpriced, but I think Id know a little more about the topic than you do before I started throwing the word idiot around at other people. Seems you are rather defensive about one guy on the net liking another sub more than the one you own, get over it.

I do have a lot of experience with the Mags but none with the q's(thats what i mentioned "i've heard") but thanks to others who have tested both and many others experiences i can draw my conclusion on the mag vs q topic. And i couldn't care less who likes which subs, i just don't like people spreading false info. I had the Q, and it took a crap on me from 1Kw, could have been my fault, or not. I was pretty pleased with the SQL from it, but I have been told by numerous people that the Mag was even sexier. I along with Chad, would prefer to do my own testing of each sub before I tell anyone anything about the differences of each driver.

So many people on this site jump on the bandwagon, instead of getting their own opinion buy purchasing the equipment.

I propose a BAN for anyone who suggest a negative comment about any driver and has never owned it, or even heard it physically (Vids do not count).
