You dont like people spreading false info? You are justifying the price of a speaker based on the term 'custom tooling'. Do you even have a clue what is custom on your Mags? How that customization differs from other, less expensive 'custom tooled' drivers?

You own Mags, you really like them, that's it. You have no expereince with the other speaker in question, so drawing your own comparisons is in effect 'spreading false info'. If you are gonna call someone an idiot, make sure you aren't doing the same thing first.

LOL... Let's keep things interesting... I had mag 12's in a ported box and Q 18's in a sealed box.

The q's extended lower, and mags extended higher.

Therefore, if you want low bass get Q's and if you want high bass get mags.

To contribute to this thread, I have also not heard the Q in a similar setup as my own. All that I know is my Mag gets very loud, and has pretty good SQ.

Mag's used go for the same or less than the Q though, so that is why I made my decision.

When deciding between the two a couple months ago, I had not heard either. So I had to know that there was a FI boner on the forum, and see through it and try to decide which was better. I went with the Mag because although I knew the Q was maybe 1 db louder, the Mag is known for suberb sound quality while getting loud. So I went with the Mag.

Just me though.
