i got 10 led's now just gotta go get some plexi now. Do you thing the type and thickness maters

yes, if is to thin the light wont be in the center of the plexi and wont run acoss it, te minimun i'll use is 1/4".

True enough. You should be able to use a router to do the same thing also. I know a lot of you guys have routers.

A complete sheet might be expensive, but you can get the size you want, look on ebay there you'll find a lot of sizes

I've done this in the past with sand blasting and I was very impressed with the results. I cut a "stencil" out of a fairly thick sheet of rubber with a computer plotter/engraver. Then you glue the stencil in place on the piece you're frosting and have at it with the sand blaster. It turned out nice and even and overall didn't take long either. I don't really trust my dremel hand either.

i go to my local glass shop.. they have a ton of scraps that they cant use... most of the time i get the plexi i use for 5 bucks or free ....
