Deck - Clarion 835mp

Front Components - Alpine Type r 5 1/4" with 1" swivel tweets (40w rms)

4ch amp - MTX 400.4 pushing 50x4 (rms)

Sub - Rockford HE

Sub Amp - Rockford 150s

Speaker Wire - 16awg

Sub Wire - 12awg

Power Wire - 8awg (for both amps)

Upcomming

Same Deck and Front Componets

Same 4ch amp

Rears - Alpine Type R 6x9s with 1" swivel tweets (50w rms, cause amp i got is 4ch and perfect for these rears/fronts)

Subs - 2... 12" DVC Alpine Type R's (dual 2ohm/4ohm depends on amp) in a sealed box

Sub Amp - A rockford amp maybe a 1000bd with gain turned down a lil bit

What do you think about this setup? goin in a 98 2dr cavi

i want sealed box cause i dunt like the port noise im getting, and i like how sealed sounds

dont really want sugestions just yet, just wondering if you think it will sound nice

it pretty decent right now with the current setup (nothing special jus sounds nice, hurts ears with them tweets if i crank it without even putting tweets at full power (-1 set on deck for treble instead of +6 wich is loud but hurts if ur in car, heh)

i dunno y but the sub right now flexes like crazy if u open the doors and stand outside ur jeans vibrate on ur leg

It sounds ok. Are you going to keep the 8gauge wire still or upgrade it?

im thinking bout upgrade the speaker wire to 14awg and the power/ground to like 4awg or thicker depends on amp i get, thas last details that ill figure out

i see u have the type r 5x7s what do u think about those? i was sketchy about buying one of those oval shape speakers, so i just went with the 5 1/4"

looks like it sound decent by looking at the products. definitely upgrade power and ground wires with the 1000bd

aiight cool, 1 last thing imma need 600w rms for the subs

should i go wit amp pushing 600w rms or the 1000bd with gain down a bit? cause i was thinking its healthier for the amp and itll do a better job pushing 600w rms when its rated at 1000 rms caue its not working nearly as hard.... is this true or not?
