starting battery?

Hey so im going to get a new battery because im pretty sure mines dead. So i was wondering if a optima yellowtop 31 would do well under the hood. Right now im only running 1000 watts but i plan to be running 2500-3000 watts in a couple of months. So would this be ok to run under the hood. I know once i get my new amp ill need to get another battery and alt and stuff but im just trying to save money. If its not going to be a good starting battery and i should just go with one of the cheaper wallmart batterys for now i might do that i would just liike to save money. Thanks
