ssteele18's box for OA 15 critique?

I want my **** done right the first time. ssteele18, who is a very helpful person by the way, gave me these sketches for my new box for the Obsidian 15.

My criteria:

•Height was set at 16' no contest, as any bigger would force me to put my box farther into my trunk, not to mention, it wouldn't be able to get into my trunk!

•Width was set at 32' no contest, as the box would tuck in perfectly into my cars wheel well thingy in my trunk

•Box had to have 2 ports on either side of the sub, for asthetics

•3.4 cubic feet (don't know if that was before or after sub displacment)

•Tuned at 32hz

Here are his final blueprints. I like this box very much! I just wanted community feedback, not because I don't trust ssteele18, I just want everything to be perfect. I got an awesome sub, a decent amp, I just want everything to be perfect for my sub.

My only concern, based on nothing really, is that the combined port area seems big. It seems okay if there was 1 port, but 2 ports of that size, seems...not right? I don't know though, I am basing it really off of other boxes I have seen...for other subs...yea, basically nothing!

Do yourself a favor and just do a single port, also x2 on the port being big.

I would think you might get some unwanted port noise.

Unless Dual Ported screws up the SQ, the sub, or the amp, or creates portnoise, or anything outside of normal functionality, I am going with Dual Ported. Girls love things in 2 dawgggg -_-

Anybody wanna provide some blue prints with measurments labeled for a box that meets my stated requirement?

ssteele18 is a good guy, havent bought from him just yet but he mocks up nice enclosures.

Looks like you should it would work out better with a single port IMO.

I'll give it a whirl. Same box specs. Make one port 4.75 inches wide with 36 inches of port.

If you are using a slot port simply stay near the equivalent of a single 6" round port of surface area to each 15" woofer used.

OA subs don't need much port area as well, just one of those ports would be sufficient

Running quick numbers I get 3.1 cubes pretty much as far as tuning give me a second.
