Ok, i wan't to buy a gcon 10d4 and run it in my boat at 2ohms with 725wrms in sealed box but i search info on this forum and i don't see anything, everybody talk about the icon, dcon or zcon so why, the gcon is not good like the other ssa sub??

How can i compare sound qubed with ssa because the hds are stupid low cost and sometime low cost=junk!

My plan is loud with good sq!

Thank's for your help!

ok finding the right sub is not an easy task the more i read on all the sub brand the more i'm confused,i have no choice to run my sub in sealed box and i see ssa respond good in sealed,i have max 2cube net so do you you have other good choice for my application, the problem is where i live in montreal brand like ssa sundown dc fi ab....simply don't exist, every body run on jl or alpine and i don't want that,i want something different and better than that.

thank's for your help and sorry for my bad english!

The Gcon is a really strong sound quality sub for the money. That power is plenty for a Gcon, and they like sealed enclosures for sure. The Gcon might not have as much coverage as technically it is the newest of our model lines. The only main difference about the Gcon and any other SSA sub is that it does not have a solid pole. I have not listened to an HDS to compare, so I can't add on that question.

Yes i see denim sales ssa but denim don't write gcon in is signatur??
That is because if I edit my sig, all links go poof. So it's out of date, but still has important links in it.

The GCON is great, it just falls into a middle range so alot of people on here are running more power, or less power. Great sub though!
In the overall subwoofer market, the Gcon hovers in the hottest segment. The 600-1000 watt ratted and $150-$250 range. The difference with the Gcon is that it is a 3" coil and made in the USA. Not to mention, how close it specs out to the original Icon, for less money by the way. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Good info denim, i like more the look of the icon but my amp is not to strong for that sub, for the shipping to quebec (canada) how you make that!

Pm me the price please!

I didn't even think about that. I guess I just made a guess as to why people weren't running them. They really do look great. I was going to run one before I decided on the Icon 15.

The Icon does not need gobs of power, we have plenty of people with 500-750 or so watts on their Icon's and they love it. Can you shoot me an email support@ sound solutions audio .com for shipping quote.

The market foot print has a lot to do with the price and hype. We have our Gcon price as low as we can take it to where is barely makes sense to still build it, along with we don't drive a hype train on our products.

The G con is one of my favorite subs I have ever owned it has it's very own sound to it I probably will grab a couple 10s down the road for a smaller install
