We had planned to keep them on hold until the 8" version was done. With the 8" model is getting close, we felt it was time to test the larger model prototypes. The 12" version is on its way to me now.

When is the ETA?

When testing is done and we are happy with them. I don't want to give a date, and then we decide to change something or something changes that is out of our control. We only say something is ready when we absolutely know for sure it is.

Hard to say really, because some people base competition on wattage ratting, other base it on price.

Hard to say really, because some people base competition on wattage ratting, other base it on price.

In my opinion, the woofers it competes with depend on what it's goals are. wattage rating, SQ/SPL, price, aesthetics, fs, box sizing, and multiple other things come into play. I was just wondering if you had anything certain in mind while you were designing this woofer to try to put it up against, kinda how some new SPL subs are trying to beat out the BTL / MT and the likes.
