SS VGA800.2 problem !!

I ran my system today going to the store. My subs sounded like poop. When I got home I started checking all the connections and such and it seems that my amp is not working correctly. I am running 2 12's one on each channel at 2ohms on my vga 800.2. It looks as if one of the subs are playing in reverse, I reversed the polarity to check, but it still works the same wrong way. It just doens't hit pretty much at all, it'll play some high tones higher, and I worked with all of the crossovers and bass adjustments and it still happens.

Did anyone hear of this happening? It's such as awesome amp and worked extremely well for the time I had it. I'm going to try it on my friends system to double check for any wierd problems.

Any other suggestions to try?

If it is broke, what should I do, I contacted the online company I got it off of and they said they have a 14 day return policy. Would SoundStream do anything?

I had a problem with Infinity before and I send my sub straight to them and got a free replacement.

sounds more speaker related. never heard of an amp failing/phase shift problem. i would check for any air leaks you could

No, it's definately the amp. I took the subs out of the boxes too, and they sound the same. I tried playing one at a time, which also sounds real bad.

hmmm i dont know then off the top of my head. instead of asking for a return did you ask them about a warranty? or was that their warranty? if not you'll have to send it in to ss or a place that could fix it which would probably cost you $

I thought of checking the HU connections but didn't have time ( i'm at work now ), i'll do it when I get home.

What's your deal with the repairs? Cost and such or whatever.

Audiolife: Yup, I got horns. Still haven't taken the time to install them or even start on the kicks... HAH. promise I will this weekend.

I had the horns set up for a while on the tv I never watch. Sounded pretty **** good, a little hollow and the mids aren't broken in yet but whatever.

who was the dealer? if it was totally unauthorized with no warranty stated anywhere you are pretty well screwed if its an amp issue as far as costs to getting it fixxed. i used to know some peeps at ss but i dont think they are there anymore since the buy out (only person i recignize is their 1 design engineer). might not be too bad of a fix though since it works its doubtful it ruined the ps or the board

The dealer is National Audio Center, from ebay. I looked at the warranty just now from one of their items to buy now.

you can eq the hollow out pretty easy it just needs to be cut down in the 1500-3000 hz range..tends to lessen in car though as well
