i know im gonna get shit for this but i looked for almost the whole dam day at work and i couldnt find anything on comparing the two? are they comparable at all....both 12's and same 2000 watt rms amp? same enlosure and everything?

I heard the D6 is pretty comparable to the RL-p. I'm running an older D6 and the output and SQ is great. Although sometime's I wish it would get lOooower.

IMO rlps get louder off the same power... i had my type Rs on a bx1000d and got considerably more output from the rlps in a smaller box on the same power and as a plus bass was cleaner and sounded more natural RLPS FTMFW

might wanna check out the ascendant audio arsenals, cheaper than the rlp's and supposedly are equal in sq and spl.

Type R's get loud, thats about it.

RL-p's wont get as loud but at least they sound good.
