I have a soundsplinter 15 inch d2 that i bought. im pushing it with a PowerBass 1000.1 asa amplifier...

my head unit is a pioneer avic f900bt..

point: its pretty loud but not as loud as i wished for.. i have it in i believe a 3 cubic feet sealed...

i want louder.. what should i do ? go with another setup or just find anohter spekaer that works better?

If there is nothing wrong with the sub, build a ported box to SoundSplinter suggested specs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

YES there is nothing WRONG With the sub at all... for those of u who have this sub.... can u help me with specificatins? i have only built 1 box in my life and did it sealed cuz it was easy lol

Those aren't SPL subs by any stretch, but port that bish fa sho!

I think the recommended specs are around 5-6 cu.ft. tuned to 28hz.

If you want more output, you could go a bit smaller tuned to 32-35hz.

That size of a box is for the 18 not the 15. It is probably around 3-4 cubes ported.

they work in ported ive heard down to 2.5. i built the same sealed box btw! love it for daily but i built a ported box at 4 cubic ft. @30hz. it wangs.
Word. I had mine in 4 cubic ft. @ 28hz and I was very much a sealed box guy. That setup got nice and low and very loud, louder than my previous setup with

(4) AA Assassin 12s sealed. And did it with less power too.

so how come mmine doesnt hit real hard when in a selaed box? is the amp not tuned right?

Possibly, or your ears could just be use to it. The RL-p as mention above, is not a "SPL" sub. Its a very nice sounding sub that will work in various boxes and still sound amazing, but its not known for its ground shaking abilities lol.

I would seriously suggest porting it. What are you currently pushing it with?

Edit, reading>me saw it in your first post, sorry.
