SS 12" T-4 box specs

Picked up a 12" T-4 a couple weeks ago and after finally getting it in a box and giving it a little under RMS, I'm mildly happy with it. It sounds good, and gets decently loud but I want a little more output out of it. It's in a little under 3.ft.3 at 33hz right now.

The recommended enclosure specs for SQ are: 3.ft.3 at 32hz.

SPL enclosure specs are 2.ft.3 at 41hz.

Now, if I drop my size down to, say, 2.5ft.3 at 35hz, would I be able to get that little bit extra that I'm looking for while still retaining the SQ?

Or is that not enough of a change to show any real difference?

i dont think it will be cleaner (sq) but maybe louder if you tune to your vehicke peaks. and box tune high

I know it won't be cleaner, I'm wondering if building a box to those specs will really make that much of a difference over what I have now.

Or if anyone has had one of these, what they found worked best.
