Yea, as long as they are consistant, they are fine with me. I won't have my db drag cd until February or March from what Ive heard. Next time we meet up Ill compare the cd Im using to yours or lees db drag cd. I should have my new cd burnt soon so numbers tomorrow below 50 Hz...

I talked to some guys on termpro and they said it usually doesnt get shipped out until a couple weeks before SBN...

this version of test tones will give you a good idea of whats going on,but you need a uncompressed cd with test tones like the db drag 1,or iasca.

Is that a rule in db drag? I wasn't aware of that.

its a rule when your competing in a db drag event,you can only run thier cd.

Sub forward, EXTERNAL PORTS firing backwards. Try a smaller box, like 1-1.5 cube for the 12".

12x12x22 external dimensions is a start.

I can only make it so small with 2 4" Aeros and get tuning anywhere near good. I dont really want to burp in the 60s because its so unrealistic for real use. Drop it down to 1 aero?

Also I did 1.7 sub forward port back and it barely broke 42.x

Make a run to HD and pick up some thin walled 4" PVC. It has to be worked with a little to make it fit, but it works fine.

Well, you have to compromise somewhere. Either raise the note up or be content with what you have. Its extremely difficult to get both, especially in a CRX and with only 1 12".

Ever thought of just making 2 boxes? One for competition and one for daily?

Its not that I need a daily box because the system isnt ran as a daily system. I just dont have as much respect for people that burp at 60 and up. No doubt they have skill and talent in their cars and designs, but its nearing the limits of 'subwoofer duty'.

I can't remember...what is the sweetspot for a rex? I wanna say 56Hz or 53Hz

A knowledgable person I spoke with said his liked 45-48 and something in the 60s also. But IMO each car is a little different and I dont really buy into the entire idea of resonant frequency of cars, I think its more box than car resonance.

Im going to try the 40-50 range a little while longer. Ill probably end up in the high 50s or 60s but almost as a last resort, but Ill do what I need to do to get in the 50s I suppose.
