Tubes is the way to go. Either that or get a jump on the competition and learn how to get a bandpass box loud. SOMEDAY they will be louder when someone figures them out.

I want to make a 1/2 wave resonator, but Im not sure how effective they will be with speakers in car rather than in my physics class. Sounds good theory, but I need to test it and dont really have a whole lot of room

I remembered a couple years ago everyone was telling me NOT to use a bandpass in any class but extreme because it dont work. Steve Cook's is pretty loud. That right there gave me enough motivation to rip out my wall and change some stuff. I would post pics of my build but then I would get some 'tard (like me) telling me I'm doing it wrong. Or I didn't use enough steel or used to much or the wrong mixture of crete. etc.

From an efficiency standpoint they can be superior to a ported box, but nobody has been able to completely figure out one yet for a street car.

Think about it this way. If YOU think it will work try it. You might be THE guy that started a certain way the box is designed.

When tommy mentioned about Hughes doing tubes. Guess who was the guy that he got the idea from. It wasn't his own. My TEAMMATE works with him (him and myself have talked about doing it in his CRX) and said something about it and it worked.

I will definately try my ideas, most of them just take a while and I would like to have something decent to work with while Im working on the new stuff.

Thanks again for all the comments and tips guys. Maybe I will be able to meet some of yall at SBN, and maybe Ill have some tricks by then.
