SQL sub in 1300-2000 daily

Most subs usually play 1-1/2 to 2 octaves (20-60hz or 20-80hz)... but I agree with you none the less. The ironic part is, so many people concentrate on their subwoofers when talking about "SQ", but its exactly this obsession with the subs in their system that leads to a grossly imbalanced system and an over all lack of sound quality. How many people on this forum think they have a 'SQ system' based on little more than a BL curve of their subwoofers? Far too many.

Exactly. It's the same bang bang hiss hiss no real midrange or tuning done and speakers all over the car so nothign images. All they have is a nice driver on paper placed in a box that STILL makes it peak super hard at 45hz and the car rattles so bad the bass isnt' clean anyway since you get so much harmonic distortion from panels.
