SQL setup, suggestions?

What I'd actually need to do is get a D2 and wire it to 4-ohms off my 4-channel via bridging 2 channels.
Then when I get the 600.1 as well as my other sub I'd wire both subs down to 1 Ohm. That amp can push 300W RMS to each sub at 1 Ohm. It's 600W RMS rated at 1 ohm, so I'd divide that between the 2 subs. Is this accurate? Assuming it is, my next question would be; Will the bass sound like shit at 1-Ohm on that amp?
- A pair of 2 ohm dvc subwoofers can't be wired to 1 ohm.

- The FD 600.1 is actually rated for 620 watts rms @ 2 ohms (I looked at it on several sites and that's what they all say).

- Image Dynamics + Arc Audio = sound like shit? No way. If your enclosure is designed properly it'll sound fantastic.

One more thing; Arc's FD series amps are discontinued and getting tougher to find. Maybe you should look into Arc's KAR series. The KAR 1000.2T can do 300 watts rms x2 @ 2 ohms. Just a thought...

So then I'd get the D4's and wire them to 2 Ohms?

I intend to build my enclosure. I've read .9 ft^3 sealed sounds great.

If you intend to achieve a 1 ohm load, you'll need a pair of dual 4's.

If you intend to achieve a 2 ohm load, you'll need a pair of dual 2's.

Your plan of buying a single 2 ohm dvc sub and then buying another one later down the road will work out fine if you do indeed buy the FD 600.1. It's 2 ohm rating is more than enough for a pair of the subs you're interested in...

To clarify, the single 2 ohm dvc can be powered from my 4-channel then? I'd just run 2 channels to it, 1 to each VC thus maintaining 2 ohms?

Sorry for the dumb questions, and thanks for working with me. I really appreciate all of your help.

To clarify, the single 2 ohm dvc can be powered from my 4-channel, even though bridging 2 channels will create a 4ohm load? Or will it still be 2 ohms because each channel can be wired to each coil?
Thanks for working with me, btw. I really appreciate all of your help bro.
You can use a single dual 2 on your current amp by bridging 2 of the channels. Just wire the sub in series for a 4 ohm load.

This entire conversation has become confusing for no good reason. Your original plan is fine in every way except for one thing. You were planning to achieve a 1 ohm load with a pair of 2 ohm dvc subs and that's not possible. Even that doesn't matter, because the amplifier you're interested in is powerful enough @ 2 ohms to power a pair of the subs that you want.

Just roll with the single dual 2 for the time being and pick up another one as well as the FD 600.1 later on down the road. It'll work out fine and you'll have yourself some pretty nice equipment...

amazing, this happens everytime ....... someone says they are looking for _______ (fill in the blank) and the thread IMMEDIATELY becomes just another F/S thread. People are offering to sell the person anything they have, even if it really doesn't even fit the description.

I didn't want to be an *** and call anybody out on it, but I noticed it too! ;p It would be different if they offered some input first, haha. Shit, the one guy with the subs didn't even link them to me, haha. He just said, "I'm selling subs, go find them."

But on a more on-topic note, since last night the site was acting up and not letting me post... Those FD6000's are a bit pricey for what I have, but I've been reading a lot about the PPI 356CS. What do you think of those?

ill sell you my hdc3 12 for 210 =P blows that alpine and kicker shit away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Fortunately I'm not going with Alpine and Kicker. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Image Dynamics and Arc Audio! How 'bout that?! ;p

Some of the guys on the forum like the PPI 356Cs'. They're relatively inexpensive, so I don't see a problem with "auditioning" them...

That's what I figured. They are definitely better than the ancient Coaxial's I currently have in the truck.

I figure if they ****, then I sell them and buy more down the line, won't be much of a loss.

Edit: On second thought, I'm gonna go with the ID CTX65CS I think.
