I currently am running 2 Audiobahn 12's in a ported box, and they hit hard but they are a little too boomy for my taste. I'd like to get something that is punchy but sounds pretty good. I've searched a lot and the IDQv.3 keeps coming up as a good choice, as well as the SI Mag. The amp I'm using is a Hifonics bxi1608d, it's 550W RMS @ 4 ohms.

The IDQ's are definitely a nice choice as are the Mags.

If buying used on the forum here is an option, there's a nice pair of TC Sounds 12's here that would definitely fit the bill as well. He's asking 225+ shipping for the pair. I have a similar pair in a 2.2 cube sealed enclosure after displacement built by vitveet and they sound incredible. The enclosure's w/in spec, but a bit smaller than I would have liked but I wanted to save trunk space. The bass is clean, very tight, and they get very loud. On your amp they'd get about 450/ea real world @2ohm as that amps a bit overrated from what I've read. I've got a Sundown 1500d which puts out about 475 to each of mine. I believe they're rated at 400rms, so that would be just about perfect.
