SQ expert advice needed.

Seems to me that you could probably make things worse, that best case scenario you could bypass the 3 way xover, but if its got some kind of tweeter protection you bypassed, you could easily end up blowing stuff.

If you have the H701, go active (using it bypasses the time alignment, crossover and EQ functions of your deck, BTW). It won't be the easiest to tune, but easiest to tune and potential for best sound are usually not the same solution. With the active setup you can make full use of the time alignment (control over each driver individually) and the TA can reduce the amount of EQing required and eliminate cancelltion nodes that would make the EQ ineffective at certain freqs. The final result will be much better sound, but it will take work to get right. If you're going to bother to compete, why compromise?

thanks for all your time, it just proves that I'm headed in the right direction. Now the funny part.

Man oh man,

My nephew messed with my forums while I was at work.

Actually I plan on using active. I'm using Hybrid Audio Speakers L1,L3,L6.

I'm using my Xtant amps. 4 channel on the L1,L3, and another amp on the Midbass in the doors. I plan on tuning the shit out of the thing, Gotta play more with the H701 abilities.

It will work out before the season starts!
