You use the PGM button. This can be used for a few different things and "pause" is one of them. Then you just use the PGM button on the remote to pause and resume cd playback.

yes, i got a deck. yes, this thread should be dead. but now, you got my interest on this PGM button. ive ALWAYS used pioneer until now. of course ive never really owned any really high end decks, but ive only ever seen a pause button. never heard of PGM. what is it? and what do you mean by "This can be used for a few different things and pause is one of them"?

I'm not totally sure how I programmed it for pause since I just went outside to check it. All I know is that on my 860 all I have to do is hit PGM button to pause and resume cd playback.

What I do know is that it is supposed to be a programmable feature that gives you the choice of what you want it to be. I had it on my old 920 as well.

well i wish you guys would spoke up b4 i bought my deck!! lol. nah, i love my deck, the only thing thats bothering me is that the treble setting isnt increasing treble enough for my taste. on my 550mp i only had to put treble at +3 and it was perfect. its maxed out on my eclipse and still aint close to loud enough for me...

All you can really do is set the gain higher then, and adjust accordingly.

i pray that you were just trying to be an ******* by making me clip my amp and destroy my comps...cause if you actually know what attenuation is but not how to set gains properly, i should come over there and slap the shit outta you. lol

Turning the gain up on your tweeter amp wouldn't necessarily clip your amp uless your amp is a POS and I don't think your amp is a POS.
