1 TREO SSX 3" coil, 2 TREO SSi also 3" coil. Both will take 8 layer coils

quick coil query's lads.....

when ppl refer to ''layers'', what exactly is that..???

& when a sub has say a DVC or QVC..does that mean they have dual or quad copper coils independent of each other, or are they all connected at the coil..??

layers = # of wraps of coil wire around a former.

dvc = dual voice coil

qvc = quad voice coil

which means there are independant + & - leads off the coil. you can connect to make a quad a dual under the dust cap if you choose. quads were big yrs ago anymore they really arent needed...

^ shhhhh, people will want to get into my collection,lol. my collection is mostly 10s and 15s with a few 8s and 18s floating around. maybe some day i will sell some of it but for now HANDS OFF! lol
