SPL with a ZX750.1?

It isnt a spl sub. I just thought it was strange that I have those, as you were discussing about the same thing. I will need to look up the specs. Not at my computer at the moment.
around 25-28mm xmax one way.

fs is in to low 20s I think.

800 watts rms. (3" coils)

D4 vc.

high q. like .6X

3x slugs

12 spoke cast frame,

pressed cone with inverted dust cap.

high roll rubber surround.

It sounds nice. I think it was a prototype for a highend sealed home sub. I bought it from a guy that designs $16k a pair speakers.
Holy crap that sounds smexy as hell! Bet it cost a pretty penny too.

Pics? BTW, how do you like that Aura amp? I'm considering one.

what kind of numbers are you shooting for?
200db //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif doesnt matter really. as high as possible but still want it to be able to be musical for daily driving. I'm naturally more of a low bass type dude than high freq farts though.

lets just shoot for 145 as a rough estimated goal

Still waiting on my amp list btw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/santa.gif.e1ec9cf2e0a0dd232ad35aa594a126d0.gif

3 10's sounds good... I would go with 3 Level 2 10's 3ft^3 should cover it you'll have close to 4ft^3 after displacement, bracing and porting they require about 300wrms per woofer as well so it would be PERFECT on 900wrms. Another idea would be a DC Level 3 12" in a 2.25ft^3 box with 38hz or higher tuning... a 145dB could be within grasp. I love the SQ of my Level 3's not really sure how the Level 2's sound though and honestly if you wanted to upgrade I bet in a 3ft^3 box 3 of those Level 2's would take a lot more power than 300rms each.

The price was as smexy as the sub! LOL. I don't have pics online, just checked. and I was off on some of the specs.

Fs=32hz

qts=.642

spl @2.83 volts=96 db

this thing will stay under xmax in a IB with its rated power down to ~20hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I love the Aura amp. (I just bought another one) old school, triple darlington design. (what ever that means) same designer as the old Lanzar opti-drive? This is what I heard.

haha u made it your avatar, nice. i've always wanted to do an IB setup....but its a tC //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I'm gonna have to see if someone can build me one of those. Thats just super smexy.

I'm really considering the aura. I think one of my front channels on my Boston is going and I'm considering just getting a small 2 or 4 channel for my mids and highs and leaving my midbass on the rear channels of the Boston. then, if its a 4 channel, I can run attenuated rears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
