SPL fans

Just a question for all you SPL fans. I'm from Australia and I think the SPL king in OZ pumped out about 165dB's. What is the highest recorded SPL rating in the USA and what kind of hardware did they use?

I think it was set with 24 15" mmat juggernauts in a van and db is 182.7 i think. I am only human, so i tmay be wrong or outdated. But I think that is correct.

When my girlfriend is mad, it sounds like she is pumping out 190dbs easily. Luckily she is never mad at me

well i know that mmats had the record a year ago at 172 or some **** like that, i duno bout this year.......but i think thats right because mmats ruleeeee!!!!!

alma gates, 175db or something, but it still keeps getting louder. 40 10inch solobarics and 40 kicker ZR1000's.

some guys did 169 db with one DD 1503 in a civic i think it was.. i think its the owner of Eastside Audio or womthing like that

no.. the guy in my hometown holds the world record for a single sub enclosure... its a single 12 inch in a power wheels... only alot of people dont recongise the record because it isnt a "car"... i think he hits 169 or so... anyway... he is sponsored by memphis audio.

The loudest official number.. in DB Drag (beginning after they put the 80hz limit into place) is a certified 175.5 held by team Pure Sound, running 13 CV Stroker 15's and 13 Zpaco 9.0 amps..

The loudest official number set at the DB Drag Finals.. is a 174.4 (might be a couple tenths off, I cant remember) which was set by Michael Hughes, with him running 4 Digital Designs 9515s and 16 Crossfire 1000d amps.

Alma Gates held the loudest overall SPL for 3 years, but it wasn't as loud as the above competitors, and it was with her old install (64 modded PPI flat 10's and 32 PPI 2400 amps. Last season in DB Drag she ran 48 L7G 10's with 48 ZR1000 amps..

The loudest certified DB Drag score with 1 sub, is held by Nathan Munson, he ran a single DD 9515 with 4 DEI 1100d amps, and hit a 170.8db ( Nathan has also hit a 169.3 with a single DD 9510-- yes, a 10" woofer, and 2 VIper 2500d amps...

John henry ( the mmats van) did hit a 174.4 db, but this score isn't given credit, since he did it before drag imposed the 80hz limit....
