Spekers pop after car is shut off

1997 Jeep, speakers pop and static during driving, (radio off) this continues after car is turned off. I disconnect battery - it stops. I removed circuit breaker and removed the radio from car- static continues. Volt meter indicates 6 to 7 volts when connected across breaker connection. Poping comes from side and rear doors. What could be powering speakers. Can anyone help? I disconnect the battery every night. I can't believe all four wires to speakers have shorted to a hot wire. Thank you for your time.

There is so much wrong with this...

You need to give us alot more info, and better yet; have someone qualified look at your car before you screw up something big.

There is not a separate amp, or at least I can an not find one in the wiring diagram. I will check each speaker tomorrow. I also understand and appreciate the warning regarding not to going to far. The wiring diagram shows four separate leads going back to the head. When I removed the head, (it is a AM stereo and FM stereo with graphic equalizer, cassette tape player and CD player), disconnecting the leads, and the static continued, it throws me. A speaker must have power to produce static - right - how could all four be getting power. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
