speaker wiring help?

Guys, I was wondering if I could wire (2) 4 ohm speakers to yield a single 8 ohm impedance? I am trying to wire up quite a number of speakers to one amp so I want to make sure I don't harm the amp in any way.
You can wire a pair of 4 Ohm drivers in series to an 8 Ohm load if the drivers in question are single voice coil drivers.

If they are DVC drivers then your answer is no.

Thank you so much, that's exactly what I needed to know.
