speaker wire size

In the calculator you'd put in the individual ohm of the speaker and if more than one speaker of the same ohm is sharing the same channel, divide the watts by the # of speakers.

So if your 1500wrms @ 2ohm is actually two 4ohm subs getting 750 rms each then enter it as that.

no, im gonna be using 2 subs, each running off of 1500

You will be ok with 16 for speakers. For the subs you might want to use 10g to be on the safe side. You're trying to use a wire rated for 21 amps to handle a 27.4 amp load. You might get away with doing so since music is dynamic and impedence rise though.

Not always true. If the subs are wired in parallel, then the wattage per wire is divided by 2. If they are wired in series, then the full current will pass through all wires.

True, I rarely see people doing that so it didn't come to mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Like someone else mentioned, it depends on the amount of current and length of the wire run. If the amp is next to the enclosure then you could get away with 12ga wire, but you'd be better off with 10 or 8 ga wire. I never run anything smaller than 8 ga, but thats just how I do things. The larger the wire, the more wire strands which makes less resistance in the way. You want all the current hitting the subs, so the larger the wire the easier it is for that current to reach the subs.
