Speaker upgrade questions from a noob.

So I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue and wanted to upgrade the stock speakers to something a little nicer. I found some speakers that seem to have good reviews and were recommended to me but being a complete noob to car audio I have some questions before I dive in and make a purchase.

I'm going to keep my stock radio because I live in Oakland and if I change it out it will most likely get stolen. Heres what I was planning on gettting:

Front: Infinity Kappa 693.9i 110 Watt - 3-way - 6" x 9"

Rear: Infinity 639I 225W 6-1/2 x 6-3/4

(Maybe) Amp: Alpine MRP-F300 4-Channel 300 Watt

Please go easy of some of the questions sound stupid, that's why I came here to are knowledgeable in the area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Are these speakers overkill for a stock radio? Is it necessary to upgrade to get best out of these speakers?

Is the amp necessary or can I get away without having it?

Are there extra wires, harness or other equipment needed to have the speakers/amp installed?

How much is a typical cost for installation for an amp and speakers?

Thanks a lot guys!!!

Running off head unit power you are not going to notice a huge audible difference. A small amp powering a couple sets of components would be a huge differance though. All you need is a decent line out converter to keep your factory unit.
