Speaker Ring..?

I have a cavlier and the only size speaker i can get in the doors is 4x6 which is bs...does anyone know of a way to get some comp. in these....? maybe an adapter

Cut out a little metal, and use an MDF or ply ring cut to the size you need...making sure to decouple it well from the panel with modeling clay.

Sometimes you can get 3/4" of MDF before hitting plastic...sometimes not...then you're looking at building inside the metal panel and the trick is making sure you have enough clearance before hitting the window.

But bolting speakers directly to bare metal is bad, bad news.

trust me i know i have my kicker ds450 4x6s on the plastic plate and it sounds like someone farts everytime it gets a beat it dont like
