Speaker repair question

Hello,

I have a set of Boston Acoustic S60 components and one of the woofers has a hole in the cone. I am assuming it occurred while having body damage repaired on my vehicle at the time and I did not notice it for several weeks later when I removed the door panel.

Some of the stats for the speaker are:

6-1/2" 2-Way Component System

Power Handling:

Peak: 300 watts per set / 150 watts each side

RMS: 110 watts per set / 55 watts each side

Copolymer cone woofer

Rubber surround

Is there anyway to fix this damage?

oof that's pretty big... you're probably never going to get it back to as good as original, but you may be able to salvage it easily to some degree with fiberglass or even duct tape... will look ghetto and won't sound the same, but it's better than an air leak in the cone. I recommend that any fix you apply, you should also apply to the cone on the opposite side (of the voice coil) to try and keep it balanced.
