Speaker rebuild???

I have a subwoofer that is falling apart and was just wondering if the magnet and frame could have new custom everything else( voice coils, cone, surround ) installed to them. The basket and magnet are fairly nice and the only real problem I see is the cone is coming detached from the spider. Can it be saved ???

If it still plays you may be able to fix it without reconing it.

Its an Audiobahn aw1200q. The cone and vc's are not that great, but the basket is not bent and the magnet is still strong. I was thinking new cone, bigger voice coils, and better surround. Just a thought as it seems a waste to throw out a perfectly good basket and magnet if it can be reused.

where you located in upstate ny? i live in upstate too and might be able to recone that cheap. might be cheaper for a new audiobahn sub though...

About 10 min north of Albany. I was thinking of using magnet and basket, but upgraded everything else. eg. instead of 2" voice coils, maybe 2.5" coils.
