Speaker popping/stopped working

I have JL XR-650Csi components up front powered by an alpine MRP F-450 4 channel amp and a Pioneer Avic F-700BT head unit. I haven't had a problem with the speakers but just today I started my car and the right speaker was popping and distorting and wasn't playing music. I restarted my car and it worked fine and sounded perfect with no apparent damage. Later today it happened again but this time no sound came out, I restarted the car and all is well several times now. What could be wrong?

loose wiure pull it apart and check all connections look at the amp as well and the rcas behind the deck

after that then ask questions

****...that will be no fun. My car is a PITA to work with lol...so loose wire for sure?

Drove to work today everything played perfect...on the way home no sound out of speaker or tweeter again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I guess its time to pull everything apart....blah any other ideas before I do this?

time to take it apart //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Took it apart and found some corrosion on one of the terminals on the crossover...cleaned it off and everything seems ok for now. Not sure if that's what caused it since all the wires were tight but my fingers are crossed.

Well it happened again today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif crackling and then no sound and then they kicked on and sounded fine for a while. I really don't know what else it could be its only the passenger side speaker. We only messed with the crossover, could the wire going into the speaker be loose? My friend didnt think so because the tweeter goes out at the same time. We banged on the door and shook it and it sounded fine. It seems to cut out when the car sits in the cold for a little bit. Any ideas? Think the speaker is going bad?

maybe the x-over it self especially if there was corrosion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif could also be a short in the wire somewhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

also check the rca for that channel as well shit happens
So what do you suggest, take the entire car apart?

change the xover for the 1 on the other side first, if the other speaker starts doing it then u found it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if not swap ur rca right and left channel at the amp and if it switches speakers you found it

if not that do the same with the speaker wires at the amp

its simple to find what the problem is just think a little harder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i have been leading you to this slowly trying to get you to think for yourself and figure it out on ur own so that you can learn it on ur own, experience is the best teacher there is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
