Speaker pop when car accessory used

Ok, here is the symptom.

I hear a pop from both my speakers every time I... touch the brake, turn signal on, and turn steering at low speeds.

What I have tried...

Unplug everything from amp and no music... still pops.

- This suggests that the amplifier (and nothing else) is picking up the noise.

Sand grounding spot endlessly, find other grounding spots, and try running ground wire to battery... still pops (running wire to battery made it worse).

- Not grounding issue.

RMA for replacement amp... still pops.

- Not the amp.

(I've also tried ground loop isolator on the RCA cable in vain)

What I have researched...

There's something called an "Accessory Pop"

http://www.caraudiohelp.com/car_audi...eshooting.html

This is saying that car accessories (brake lights, turn signal lights, electric steering) causes voltage spike that can be picked up by amp.

But when I used a multimeter to read voltage going into the amp, I see no voltage spike.

Not only that, the remedy (put a capacitor on the switch of all accessories causing pop) is extremely difficult.

My options...

Voltage stabilizer on the battery

Capacitor before the amp

Last resort: capacitor on all switches like the link suggested.

Any help would be immensely appreciated. (I'm dying)

How did you set your gain? maybe you have the gain set too high and when youre driving the voltage spike from the accesories are just enough to push your speakers to clipping. does is pop at any level or only when you have the music cranked high?

I heard from someone that a multimeter would be unable to detect a short voltage spike, as they are damped to detect average voltage over time.

So, there's a good chance I may be experiencing a voltage spike.

I'm planning to get a voltage stabilizer for the battery.

Try it on a seperate battery not connected to car ?Then if nothing pops connect said battery to your car battery and check again second battery should filter the spike ?

If I connect the amp to a battery not connected to the car, obviously it's not going to pop, since it's not connected to any car accessories.

By the way, neither voltage stabilizer or amp capacitor worked.

My only option is to install a small capacitor at the brake switch that would absorb the voltage spike I'm having supposedly.

This is just killing me.

Quite honestly, it's a small pop. If I turn the music up enough, I can barely hear it. But I happened to be a bit of a perfectionist... I just can't ignore it.

If you hook the other batt up it will act like a filter and should stop it plus you will have extra capacity for your amp and will be a win win ! Or have you tried moving your source for the turn on ? Or tried using a relay on your source for amp turn on ? You can get instructions on doing it at 12 volt .com or I can tell you when I get off work
