speaker mounting question, magnet side facing out

I'm a newbie here so I'm sure the response will be do a search, but I did and not sure if I have the correct terms (inverted), so to my question here.

Can someone explain to me why and the benefits of someone mounting their speakers with the magnet side facing out of the box?

One benefit would be slightly better cooling. It's mostly done for looks if someone wants to show off the motor, or it's done out of necessity due to mounting depth restraints.

Otherwise, if you have two drivers and you only mount one inverted, then you can considerably lower THD by canceling out any nonlinearities that may be caused by the suspension or the motor itself.
