speaker mounting plus placement

I had a few questions that I needed some opinions on:

1) The mid-bass from my comp set wouldnt fit in my front door, so after some brainstorming I figured I would use rubber washers to elevate it. They are just lined up where the screws are. So it fixed the mounting issue, but now I'm thinking its not sealed against anything. I havent ran wires to it yet (nor have I owned a pair of comps) so I dont and prbably wont know how much they are effecting my mid-bass. So I guess my question is, will there be a siginifican difference?

2) I was also debating to move my midbass to the back of the car. How odd would it sound if the Tweets were in the front and the midbass in the back?

thanks in advance

I've thought about making baffles using mdf but then my inability to cut wood and lack of tools has stopped my from attempting it

ok makes sense thats exactl what I was saying to a friend yesterday that this will act as a free air and lose out on bass. He was like "naaah man thats not true" so I needed some opinions with ppl with more experience.

Another thing is I dont think 3/4 mdf will cut it, I think i need elevate it alot more, but I need to double check on that
