Speaker Makes

What companies' speakers do you people like (perticularly 4x6's and 6x9's) and why? If you could include what prices I'm looking at too, that would be great. I'm trying to learn about car audio, and need some help learning about the companies without salespeople's biased opinions.

Most people here don't like odd shaped speakers, ie 6 x 9's and 4 x 6's. It's better to modify your openings and get normal 5.25" or 6.5" openings. I personally had no trouble with my 6 x 9's, but to each his own.

Just talking names I personally like Infinity. But I currently have MB Quart Q-Series components, which are around $500 depending on where you buy them. They can be as much as $800 or so at a local shop selling at retail. The Infinity Perfects are actually comparable, at only around $275, or as much as $500 retail. I also hear good things about Focal.

Coming down in price I've never heard anyone disappointed in the new Infinity Reference components, at least for the price. Most people are tickled pink.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Obviously you see that there is an emphasis here for components in the front. After that it really doesn't matter what you put in the back, as long as you have them sufficiently powered.

I'm not going to go components because when I'm done with this car I'm taking my speakers with and I don't want holes left, nor do I want to fight to get them in and not looking wierd.
